EWU Eagles ranked No. 3 in preseason coaches poll

Eastern Washington is ranked No. 3 in the American Football Coaches Association FCS Top 25 poll. Earlier this month, EWU checked in at No. 4 in the STATS preseason media poll.

Defending national champion North Dakota State is ranked No. 1 and James Madison is No. 2. North Dakota State defeated EWU 38-24 in last season’s national championship game. The Bison have won seven of the past eight championships.

Other ranked teams from the Big Sky include No. 5 UC Davis, No. 9 Weber State and No. 15 Montana State.
