Billings West’s Cade Tyson joins Rocky’s men’s basketball program

BILLINGS, Mont., August 19, 2019 – Rocky Mountain College head men’s basketball coach Bill Dreikosen announced Monday that Cade Tyson has signed a letter of intent to join the program in for the 2020-21 season. A five-foot-ten-inch guard from Billings West High School, Tyson has averaged 15.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 2.2 steals per game as a Golden Bear. Tyson was selected 2018-19 First Team Eastern AA and 2018-19 Second Team AA All-State for his junior season. Amid Tyson’s notable games includes a 27 point, five rebound, and four assist performance against Great Falls High School in February of 2019. He scored a personal best 30 points with seven three pointers against Missoula Sentinel High School in December of 2018. “Cade is an integral piece for our 2019-20 recruiting class. We are getting one of the top guards in the state of Montana,” said Dreikosen. “We are excited about the impact he will bring on the court and in the classroom. Cade is the type of kid we are consistently looking to have in the program and his character, work-ethic, and toughness will be a great asset.” From Billings, Montana, Tyson plans to pursue a degree in chemistry at Rocky Mountain College.
