Woman, 93, dies following Sunday crash in Chattaroy
A 93-year-old woman has died of injuries from a Sunday morning crash involving multiple vehicles in the Chattaroy area.
The Washington State Patrol reported the death of Alvera Quaschnick on Monday. Earlier, the WSP said Quaschnick, who lived in Deer Park, had cut off another vehicle on U.S. Highway 2 about 10 miles north of Spokane, causing a chain reaction of collisions and injuring three other people.
The WSP reported Quaschnick turned onto the highway from Chattaroy Road, cutting off a Chevy pickup driven by Trevor Hansen, 41. Hansen’s truck pushed Quaschnick’s car into the next lane and caused a Ford van and trailer to roll over into the center median.
Quaschnick and the driver of the van, Rochelle Anderson, 34, were hospitalized along with Quaschnick’s passenger, Johanna Hagg, 85, and Anderson’s passenger, Kristopher Anderson, 37.
