Spokane Valley fire crews extinguish early morning RV blaze

From staff reports

Spokane Valley Fire Department crews extinguished a fire that engulfed an RV and spread to a nearby garage early Friday morning.

Units responded to the fire in the 19000 block of E. Sprague Avenue at 2:29 a.m., according a news release. When they arrived, they found the RV ablaze and worked to prevent it from spreading.

The fire was contained within 20 minutes and extinguished over the next several hours. Firefighters were able to save the majority of the garage and prevent the fire from spreading inside the home.

No one was injured in the incident.

The cause was under investigation Friday morning, but the fire department said the RV was in the process of being rebuilt at the time of the fire. Several propane tanks were stored in the RV and garage with the possibility of one or more tanks exploding after the fire started.
