College baseball roundup: California blanks Washington State to open Pac-12 series in Berkeley

Arman Sabouri and Sam Stoutenborou combined on a four-hitter Friday to lead California (15-11, 3-4) to a 6-0 win over Washington State (7-21, 0-7) to open a three-game Pac-12 Conference series in Berkeley, California.

Stoutenborou (5-3) pitched the final seven innings, allowing three singles. Korey Lee had an RBI single during Cal’s four-run seventh and added an RBI double in the eighth.

  • • Gonzaga’s West Coast Conference home game against Pacific was postponed by expected bad weather. The teams will meet in a doubleheader Saturday, starting at noon.
