$2.5 million South Hill development to bring 19 townhouses
A $2.5 million townhouse development is coming to Spokane’s South Hill, according to permits issued by the city.
The 35th Avenue Commons, 2727 E. 35th Ave., will have 19 units when complete, spread out among four separate buildings. Access to the development will be off of 35th, as well as from Southeast Boulevard just west of its intersection with Regal Street.
Documents filed with the city show the units being just more than 1,000 square feet in size. Each comes with a garage.
The owner and developer of the project is listed in city permits as SMY LLC, a Spokane-based company headed by John Maloney, who is part of an insurance company, Moloney O’Neill, founded in 1947 by Spokane natives Jack Moloney and Dick O’Neill. The company sold in 2014 to the California-based Alliant Insurance Services Inc.
SMY is acting as the project’s contractor. The architect is Gallery 12 Design, of Spokane, and the engineering was done by Storhaug Engineering, also of Spokane.
