A man was attacked and stabbed in the torso near North Central High School at about 4:40 p.m. Wednesday, according to police.
The victim, in his late 20s, who isn’t a student, then walked to the school grounds but left shortly after. Police found him off school grounds, according to Cpl. Ronald Van Tassel. He was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The victim did not cooperate in providing information to the police about the suspect.
“He was (at the school) for a brief moment,” said Van Tassel.
The school, at 1600 N. Howard St., did not go into a lockdown.
No suspects have been arrested, and police were looking at the school’s security footage to find where the stabbing happened.
The incident continues a string of six stabbings over the last ten days in Spokane.
