No. 22 Washington State volleyball sweeps Arizona State
TEMPE, Ariz. – No. 22 Washington State extended its Pac-12 Conference winning streak to three matches with a 25-17, 25-21, 25-17 sweep of Arizona State on Friday night.
McKenna Woodford hit .346 with 11 kills for the Cougars (12-3, 3-2) and Alexis Dirige had 13 digs. The Cougars hit .278 as a team and held ASU (12-3, 3-2) to a .155 attack percentage. Another significant edge for the Cougars was a 9-1 advantage in aces.
WSU led 17-14 in the third set before Taylor Mims had two of her match-high three aces while serving a five-point run that helped the Cougars finish out the match. Dirige also had three aces for the Cougars.
Washington State plays at No. 21 Arizona on Sunday.
