Griz fall to Creighton 98-72
The Montana men’s basketball team lost 98-72 on the road at Creighton on Wednesday, dropping to 4-2 on the season through the Grizzlies’ start of non-conference play.
Offense was not an issue as the two teams combined 58 percent from the floor and 51.2 percent from beyond the arc.
Montana kept pace for most of the first half, trailing by just two at 40-38 with under four minutes to play in the opening half. However the Bluejays closed the half on a 9-2 run and started the second half on an 8-0 run to take a large lead that Montana could never come back from.
Junior Sayeed Pridgett was the brightest spot for Montana, scoring 21 points on the night on 8-of-12 shooting and a 4-for-5 effort on three point shot.
It was a memorable experience for the Grizzly team as there were 16,457 fans in attendance on Wednesday, the second-largest crowd Montana has ever played in front of.
Creighton improves to 6-1 on the season.
