Family displaced by fire on South Hill
A house fire Wednesday on the South Hill didn’t injure anyone, but it displaced a family of seven.
The Spokane Fire Department responded to the fire at the 1100 block of East 37th Avenue at about 3:30 p.m.
Crews found heavy smoke pouring out of the basement and front door of the single-story home, according to a news release.
The fire caused “substantial damage to the basement of the home and smoke damage throughout,” the release said. Tthe Spokane Fire Department is investigating.
