Casey Donahew brings his his long country career to Spokane’s Knitting Factory

Country singer Casey Donahew’s career hit the 15 year mark in 2017, and to celebrate, he took a trip down memory lane.

The collection “15 Years, the Wild Ride” includes “Fallen,” one of the first songs Donahew ever wrote, as well as hit singles like “12 Gauge,” “Double Wide Dream” and “Stockyards.”

The album also features a new recording of a cover of Matchbox Twenty’s “3AM,” a staple of Donahew’s live shows.

Calling the process of recording of his first album, 2006’s “Lost Days,” “as basic as you could get,” Donahew relished in the opportunity to re-record the songs on “15 Years, the Wild Ride” the way they were meant to be.

“These songs have been with me a long time and they’re a part of who I am,” he said on his website. “It’s been a lot of fun to go back in the studio to record them the right way and pay tribute to my fans and celebrate the years.”

According to recent Facebook posts, the Texan will soon have new music to add to his next career retrospective; he’s been in the studio working on the follow up to 2016’s “All Night Party.”
