Explore 120 acres that may be added to the Big Rock area of the Dishman Hills Conservation Area, Sunday

Dishman Hills Executive Director Jeff Lambert will lead the 3-mile hike. The hike will go from 1 to 4 p.m.

The route has some steep and difficult trails as well as some sections off trail.

This property provides access to Big Rock and has to be protected for access trails and a buffer for the Rocks of Sharon. This will also connect with other properties to the east and west, according to a Dishman Hills Consevation news release.

Bring hiking poles, snacks, water and dress for the weather. Because of the advanced terrain, boots are suggested.

The event is free, but organizers ask participants to register in advance at dishmanhills.org.
