Remote orthodontic business opens first Spokane location
SmileDirectClub has opened its first SmileShop in the Spokane area.
SmileDirectClub connects customers with a affiliated licensed dentist or orthodontist in the area who use teledentistry to straighten a patient’s teeth with at-home, invisible aligners.
The local SmileShop at 802 E. 29th Ave., Suite 1, in Spokane will allow patients to visit for a 3-D, digital scan to begin the process of teeth-straightening. SmileShop is open 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
Founded in 2014, SmileDirectClub says it has a digital network of more than 225 affiliated licensed dentists and orthodontists overseeing customer treatment plans.
The plans are derived from impressions made with at-home kits or from a digital scan at one of more than 140 SmileShops across the U.S.

The traditional treatments of chronic rhinitis are nasal sprays, drops and pills, but these generally only address the symptoms rather than the condition, according to a Spokane ENT news release.
