What’s she fighting for?

Congratulations to Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers for retaining her seat in Congress. But I’m perplexed. In her victory speech last night (Kip Hill piece on the front page of Wednesday’s Spokesman) she said, “I stand before you tonight stronger, better, and more convicted in what we are fighting for.”

And what would that be? Supporting and legislating Trumpism at all costs? Recent polls show that the majority of voters disapprove of President Trump’s performance. You were not elected to just do his bidding. I of all people should not have to remind you that you represent all of the people of the 5th District; and, as 4th in line in the House, to all Americans. Please don’t disappoint, again.
