Thank you, officer

This letter is to the unknown officer who stopped my granddaughter last week. She had neglected to turn her headlights completely on while leaving the Valley Mall.

She is a new driver and was very nervous and upset when stopped for her first time. You took the time and showed her the caring to talk to her and calm her down. You treated her with great respect and understanding.

But you went way above the norm when you held her there talking, calming her down and making sure she was in the right frame of mind to drive before you let her drive away. You made her aware, just by talking, that not all dealings with police are bad and that they do care. I wish I knew who you were to personally thank you for your professionalism, obvious caring, thoughtful and respectful nature. We need more people like you out there. Thank you!
