Prosser had best lighting at Lilac parade

The award for best lighting at the Lilac Festival Armed Forces Torchlight Parade on Saturday was given to Prosser, the parade announced this week.

The second place Torch Light Award went to Tekoa. Third place was won by the Blazen Divaz.

Among the 42 school bands that marched in the parade, judges gave 22 Lilac Gold Standard Awards. The winners were Freeman, Central Valley, Ferris, Prosser, North Central, Shadle Park, Lewis and Clark, Colville, Medical Lake, Marysville, Olympic View Middle School, Mt. Spokane, Rearden-Edwall, East Valley, Rogers, University, Lakeside, Mead, West Valley, Cheney, Mariachi Del Sol and Riverside/Deer Park.
