Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife seeks information on littering case

LITTERING – A Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife officer is looking for information leading to the identification of a littering suspect.

On Jan 15, officer Curt Wood discovered a large amount of trash in a Bureau of Land Management shooting area on Lake Valley Loop Road, in the Fishtrap area of Lincoln County. An unknown shooter or shooters left behind Walmart shopping bags, ammunition boxes, brass and a large number of Shasta soda cans. A Walmart receipt was found inside one of the plastic shopping bags.

The receipt showed that the subject purchased three boxes of ammunition (Federal .223 rifle and Federal 9 mm pistol rounds). The items were purchased on Dec. 8, 2017, at 9:47 a.m., from the Walmart store in Airway Heights. A male subject, who is 28 years old, purchased the ammunition. It is believed that the subject is either a current or past military member, based upon the bank that the subject uses.
