Crestline home damaged by fire Friday
A home caught fire early Friday morning near Fifth Avenue and Crestline Street in the South Perry district.
The structure, located at 2030 E. Fifth Ave., was built in 1895 and recently remodeled and put up for sale.
It was unoccupied at the time the fire was reported around 5:30 a.m., said Spokane Fire Department Assistant Fire Chief Trish Wolford.
Neighbors reported seeing heavy smoke coming from the attic, Wolford said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were no reported injuries.
