Spokane Rock Products purchased by Oldcastle Materials

Spokane Rock Products has been purchased by Oldcastle Materials Inc., an Atlanta-based supplier of asphalt, concrete, rock products and construction and paving services.

The sale was final Friday. About 120 people work at Spokane Rock Products, which was founded in 2000 and will keep its name for the time being, said K.C. Klosterman, Oldcastle Material’s director of real estate and community.

Employees were offered jobs with Oldcastle Materials, he said. The company has 18,000 employees at 1,200 locations, according to its website. Oldcastle Materials is part of a publicly traded company, CRH PLC, he said.

The company has several other brands in North Idaho and the Spokane area, including Interstate Concrete & Asphalt Co., Oldcastle Materials Northwest Group; Inland Asphalt and Central Pre-Mix Concrete.
