For the most part, America came to know Ben Bailey through his work quizzing unsuspecting New Yorkers as he drove them around town as the host of “Cash Cab.”

During the show’s seven-year run, Bailey also hosted “Cash Cab: After Dark” and “Cash Cab: Las Vegas.”

But years before he got behind the wheel, the Daytime Emmy winner was performing stand up across the country. He’s filmed two Comedy Central specials and released “Ben Bailey: Live and Uncensored” in 2016.

Bailey also has acting stints on “30 Rock,” “Law and Order: Special Victims Unit” and “Parenthood” under his belt.

To the delight of trivia fans in New York, Bailey got back into his yellow cab when “Cash Cab” was revived for a short season in December.

After a brief hiatus, Bailey confirmed the show’s return on Twitter last month, posting a photo of himself in the driver’s seat captioned “Well here I am again… #cashcab.”

But before Bailey gets too consumed with stumping passengers, he’ll return to his standup roots and headline the Spokane Comedy Club on Friday and Saturday.
