Spokane area Pearl Jam fans have some choices to make.

Go to the “Home Shows” at Safeco Field in Seattle on Aug. 8 and 10, or head to Missoula to see them play an “Away Show” at Washington-Grizzly Stadium at the University of Montana in Missoula on Aug. 13.

Or go to all three?

Whatever you decide, registration is now open to purchase tickets through the Ticketmaster Verified Fan program. Sign up at https://pearljam.tmverifiedfan.com/ and be eligible to purchase tickets during the pre-sale beginning at 10 a.m. Feb. 16. Registration to the Verified Fan program ends at 4 p.m. Feb. 6.

How does Verified Fan work? The night before the presale begins, Ticketmaster will email you that you’ve been verified and selected to participate in the presale. (If demand for tickets exceeds availability, registered members will be selected at random for presale access.)

If you meet that criteria, the next morning you’ll receive a text message with a personal access code allowing you to log in for tickets. According to the Pearl Jam Verified Fan website, registration in the program will not guarantee tickets, as they’ll be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Presale participants are limited to four tickets.

Members of the band’s Ten Club will get earlier access, beginning at 10 a.m. Feb. 7. Any tickets remaining after both presales will be made available to the public at 10 a.m. Feb. 21 through the venue’s official ticket vendor.

The Seattle shows mark Pearl Jam’s first gigs in its hometown in two years, and the band is pledging at least $1 million to help the city battle homelessness. The Missoula show will mark Pearl Jam’s first appearance in bassist Jeff Ament’s home state since a 2012 gig at the Adams Center at the University of Montana. The Seattle rock icons played Spokane in November 2013, in a show at the Spokane Arena that sold out quickly.

Other shows in the band’s “Away” series will be Aug. 18 and 20 at Chicago’s Wrigley Field and Sept. 2 and 4 at Fenway Park in Boston.

Ticket prices have not yet been announced.
