Vandals’ Brayon Blake named Big Sky Player of the Week

OGDEN, Utah – Senior forward Brayon Blake has been recognized as the Big Sky Conference Player of the Week in men’s basketball.

Blake scored 23 points to go along with 12 rebounds in Idaho’s win at Southern Utah on Thursday night. It was the third time this season that he scored at least 20 points, and it was his sixth double-double of the year.

He followed that up with another great performance, finishing with 25 points and nine rebounds in Idaho’s win over Northern Arizona. He shot 53 percent from the floor and went 3-of-4 at the free throw line in the final 20 seconds of the game to seal the win.

Blake leads the Big Sky in rebounding at 9.6 rpg and is averaging 14.8 ppg.

Blake was also named College Sports Madness Big Sky Men’s Basketball Player of the Week this week, the second time he has been recognized by CSM.
