GSL girls: Demi Howlett helps Gonzaga Prep reach tourney title game in Oregon

Tualatin Elite 8 Invite

Gonzaga Prep 55, West Salem (OR) 41: Demi Howlett scored 15 points, Grace Hammon added 11 and the Bullpups (8-2) cruised past the Titans (3-6) in Tualatin, Oregon. G-Prep outscored West Salem 34-10 in the middle quarters to erase an early deficit. Kyra Scoggin led West Salem with 12 points.

Top of the Peak

Lewis and Clark 44, Chiawana 32: Jacinta Buckley scored 10 points with 16 rebounds and the Tigers (9-1) beat the Riverhawks (5-3). Delaney Pink and Clare Eubanks led Chiawana with 11 points apiece.

CV Holiday Hoops

University 61, Moses Lake 57: Ellie Boni scored 25 points and the Titans (7-3) downed the Chiefs (5-4) at Central Valley HS. Tyler McCliment-Call had 14 points and Kinsley Barrington added 11 for U-Hi. Brecka Erdman led Moses lake with 13 points.

Central Valley 84, Olympia 13: Anika Chalich scored 17 points, Tomekia Whitman added 14 and the Bears (7-1) beat Olympia (4-4). Camryn Skaife scored 13 points and Kate Sams had 10 for CV. Bekah Bradshaw led Olympia with seven points.

Eagle Holiday Classic

Riverside 61, Shadle Park 33: Ava West and Brittney Nortz scored 18 points apiece and the Rams (4-7) handled the Highlanders (1-10) at West Valley HS. Brittney Zeinhert added 14 points for Riverside. Izzy Boring scored 11 points and Katelyn Pomerinke added 10 for Shadle Park.

Avista Holiday Tourney

Lewiston 42, North Central 33: Caitlan Richardson scored 19 points and the Bengals (6-5) topped the Indians (6-5) at Lewis-Clark State College. Kyara Sayers led North Central with 10 points. NC faces Walla Walla in the tourney third-place game on Saturday.

Nonleague

Ferris 77, Chief Sealth 33: Elliot Hencz scored 21 points and the Saxons (4-6) defeated the visiting Seahawks (2-7). Mayson Younger scored 11 points and Payton Royster added 10 for Ferris.
