Blackbird offers free Christmas Eve meal for veterans

The Blackbird Tavern and Kitchen is hosting its fourth annual free Christmas Eve meal for veterans and their immediate families.

Space is limited and reservations are required. Reservations can be made by calling (509) 381-2473.

FSA is donating food, Roast House Coffee is donating coffee, and volunteers – employees, friends and family of The Blackbird – will be preparing and serving the food.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 24.

Formerly a Southern-inspired restaurant, the Blackbird changed its focus in spring and became a barbecue restaurant specializing in slow-cooked, smoked meats.

The Blackbird is at 905 N. Washington St.
