Whitworth president announces school-wide ban on tobacco products
Whitworth University announced Monday smoking and tobacco will be banned on campus starting Jan. 1.
President Beck Taylor made the announcement on Twitter Monday and wrote that the school will provide free products to help students quit smoking and chewing tobacco.
No designated smoking areas on campus, Taylor wrote on Twitter.
Taylor said the decision was supported by the school’s Smoke-Free Tobacco-Free Task Force, and the decision is also conditional depending on the President’s Cabinet.
