Utah government workers inundated with reply all emails

In this screen grab of a tweet by Joe Dougherty, a long list of Utah government workers reply all to an email mistakenly sent to the approximate 25,000 employees (Twitter)
From wire reports

An unidentified government worker in Utah caused temporary email hysteria on Friday when he accidentally hit “reply all” to an email sent out to about 25,000 government employees, KUTV reported.

In a tweet, Joe Dougherty – who was one of the many on the receiving end of this email chain – screen-grabbed the massive amounts of emails he received in just a few minutes between 9:32 a.m. and 9:38 a.m.

While most employees involved pleaded for people to stop “replying to all,” Bridgette Despain told everyone to bring a white elephant gift and Timothy Andrus inquired as to whether contractors were invited.

According to Dougherty, the fleeting chaos petered out at around 11:15 a.m.
