Torrey Gambill acquitted of rape, imprisonment charges

A north Spokane man charged with the rape and imprisonment of a woman he met on a dating site has been found not guilty.
According to KHQ, a jury acquitted Torrey Gambill, 36, of all charges Friday.
In November of last year, Gambill was arrested after a woman reported he had become abusive during what had begun as a consensual sexual encounter. The two had originally met on the dating site Tinder.
Gambill, who is the younger brother of former local tennis star Jan-Michael Gambill, pleaded guilty in a different 2007 case to third-degree domestic violence assault and domestic violence harassment.
