Driver found dead after crashing into field in southeast Spokane County
A man was found dead in his vehicle Sunday morning after apparently crashing into a field in southeast Spokane County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Traffic investigators and personnel from Fire District 11 were called at about 7:30 a.m. to the scene of the crash near South Molter Road and East Elder Road, the sheriff’s office said in a news release Monday.
That intersection is about 5 miles east of Freeman and about 3 miles from the Idaho border.
Investigators found the driver was alone in the vehicle, had not been wearing a seat belt and had been traveling too fast, the sheriff’s office said. His name was not released.
