The United Way of Spokane County is raising money to assist the Freeman High School community in the aftermath of Wednesday’s school shooting.

The organization was contacted by local businesses requesting that the United Way start a fund, said Tim Henkel, president and CEO.

Henkel said the United Way will work with the Freeman community to determine how to disperse the money raised.

Donations can be dropped off at any STCU branch or can be mailed to P.O. Box 1954, Spokane, WA 99210-1954.

STCU members may donate through their online bank accounts.

United Way said nothing will be deducted from donations for administrative costs.
