DACA falsehoods

Once again public broadcasting misleads the public. Spokane Public Radio recently posted on its website “McMorris Rodgers splits with Trump On DACA.” In that article, Emily Schwing incorrectly states that DACA is “… the law passed in 2012.” DACA is not a law; at least it’s not a law as described in our Constitution.

Congress never passed any legislation for DACA. The president never signed a bill for DACA. It was created unconstitutionally by order from the executive branch of government - specifically, DHS of the Obama administration. President Obama demanded the creation of the DACA policy even though President Obama stated numerous times he didn’t have the constitutional authority to do so… but he did it anyway!

Our great nation was established upon the rule of law. With DACA, President Obama intentionally ignored the rule of law and acted in a way he knew was unconstitutional, thereby chipping away at our nation’s foundation. And once again, public broadcasting is helping to bring an end to our essential rule of law by posting the falsehood that DACA, an unconstitutional act, is a law. It’s so sad that our tax dollars are spent to spew such falsehoods!
