Cancel My Republican

Mr. Lincoln, perhaps our greatest president and certainly our greatest Republican president, gave his life to preserve the union, abolish slavery and defend the principle that all men are created equal. Now we have a president who is dividing the nation and acknowledges and gives tacit approval to the notion of white supremacy.

This is an affront to the cornerstone of the Republican Party and our nation. He was dutifully elected. Our mistake. There is outrage and disgust from around the country and within the administration (Tillerson, Cohn). Where stands our representative? CMR (Cathy’s Mute Response) continues to stand by her man despite his lies, hateful speech, racism and affronts to the rule of law. It is time she shows some courage and speaks out for her constituency, and I hope her own conscience. Otherwise, CMR will stand for Cancel My Republican.
