Defensive end Nnamdi Oguayo returns to Washington State for game against Cal; Isaac Dotson, Nate DeRider out
BERKELEY, Calif. – Defensive end Nnamdi Oguayo is back in the fold for Washington State, but inside linebackers Isaac Dotson and Nate DeRider didn’t make the trip to the Bay Area for tonight’s game against Cal.
Oguayo, who’s been dealing with an unspecified injury, didn’t travel with the Cougars to Oregon last week and missed WSU’s game against USC. Sophomore Derek Moore started in his place both games.
Dotson, who’d been starting at Mike linebacker in place of Peyton Pelluer, left the Oregon game in the first quarter with an apparent injury. DeRider limped off the field at Autzen Staidum with an injury and didn’t return.
Cal’s starting running back and leading rusher, Patrick Laird, didn’t dress for the Golden Bears and missed his first game of the season. Laird had 65 carries for 400 yards and four touchdowns coming into Friday’s game.
