DePaul defeats Gonzaga women with 3-point barrage

Chandler Smith scored a career-high 19 points and DePaul made 17 3-pointers in an 88-71 victory over Gonzaga at the women’s Play4Kay Showcase in Las Vegas.

For Gonzaga, Jill Townsend had 11 points and four rebounds, Jill Barta 10 points and eight rebounds and Zykera Rice 12 points.

Laura Stockton did not play for the second consecutive game for Gonzaga.

The Bulldogs (2-3) play their home opener on Thursday against Eastern Washington. The game will be televised by SWX.
