One dead in head-on collision near Sagle, Idaho

One man died from his injuries Thursday following a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 95 Wednesday evening near Sagle, Idaho.

Around 7 p.m. the driver of a Dodge Caravan was traveling northbound and attempted to pass a slower-moving vehicle when he collided head-on in the southbound lane with a Nissan Altima, driven by James Moore, 56, of Sandpoint.

Everyone involved in the crash – including four children in the Caravan and two adults and one child in the Altima – were transported to Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene.

Moore died from his injuries from the crash Thursday.

The Idaho State Police is investigating the collision.
