State prep baseball roundup: Freeman takes third place in 1A

McKabe Cottrell went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs and Freeman (22-3) beat Cashmere (22-4) 5-3 in the State 1A third-place game at County Stadium in Yakima on Saturday.

Simon Rooney went four innings and allowed two unearned runs on two hits with five strikeouts. Konner Freudenthal went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI as the Scotties jumped out to a 4-0 lead after three innings.
