Gunboat diplomacy

David Wallace fears that Spokane might be a North Korean target (April 17 letter.

Not to worry. Judging from the letters and columns I read in the Spokesman-Review, scores of people in the Spokane region, including Pullman and Newport, are in complete solidarity with Kim Jong Un, Putin and Cuba’s Castro. It’s the same in Seattle and most of California.

Naturally, North Korea’s communist dictator wouldn’t drop a nuke on his comrades in Spokane, Seattle, Berkeley and Hollywood.

We do need to remember that the reds are no longer dealing with the “let’s hoist the white flag” Democratic Party, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama. Now, we’ve got another Teddy (gunboat diplomacy) Roosevelt in the White House!
