One person dead, two injured in vehicle collision near Colfax
One person is dead and two are injured after a vehicle collision Wednesday evening on State Route 26 near Colfax.
Linda Hammerly, 64, was killed when her 1995 Toyota Camry traveled into the eastbound shoulder near milepost 119, over-corrected and collided with a westbound 2009 Chevrolet Impala occupied by Shannon Carmody, 32, and Colin Curwen-McAdams, 32, according to a Washington State Patrol news release.
Carmody was transported by helicopter to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center, and Curwen-McAdams by ambulance to Whitman Community Hospital in Colfax. Hammerly was pronounced dead at the scene.
Everyone was wearing a seat belt.
