Trump voters misjudged

Donald Trump is making America the laughingstock of the world. Vladimir Putin and his cronies are elated. The White House is in chaos. And the Freedom Caucus is pushing a budget that punishes Americans for being poor or sick or both. It takes nearly $1 billion of taxpayer money from the most vulnerable among us and gives it to the very wealthy. This is “Making America Great Again?”

This is your fault, Trump voters. We are where we are today, perched on the edge of a full-blown banana republic, because you turned off your critical thinking skills last year. You gorged yourself on a steady diet of Russian-inspired fake news delivered via conservative radio and Fox News. You jumped at the opportunity to blame the “other,” minorities and public servants, for all your implanted anxieties about the future. And you got played, big time. That’s right, you got conned by a New York real estate hustler.

It’s time to own up to your failure in judgment and demand that Trump’s hand maidens in Congress get out of the way and let the wheels of justice propel this fraud and his kleptocracy to the curb as quickly as possible.
