Alexander is very active

Kathryn Alexander, the co-chair of Bemiss Neighborhood Council, has been very active and dedicated to representing Northeast Spokane in many issues over the past three years. She has served on her Neighborhood Council and as a representative for the Bemiss Neighborhood on the Community Assembly (CA). Her actions and service speak for themselves as she is both secretary of the Community Development Block Grant Committee ($370,000 for Spokane neighborhood projects has been allocated in this program through Community Housing and Human Services for 2018 alone) and as chair for the CA Budget Committee (which allocates $500 of Community Assembly funds to each of the 29 neighborhoods for neighborhood projects).

The Community Assembly recognized Kathryn Alexander’s leadership skills by selecting her for a scholarship to represent Spokane at the Neighborhoods USA Conference this past May and awarding her the Jeanette Harras award in 2016.

Issues Kathryn has championed for all Spokane include better sidewalks with access for all, quality housing, better roads, emphasizing citizen involvement in their neighborhoods, building stronger neighborhoods, and helping create projects which help individual neighborhoods with their unique needs. I encourage you to vote for Kathryn Alexander for District 1 Council Member Position 2.
