Former Ferris High standout Andrew Kittredge, a right-handed pitcher in the Tampa Bay Rays organization, was called up to the big leagues on Sunday.

Kittredge will make his major league debut after an impressive showing at Triple-A Durham, posting a 5-1 record and a 1.90 ERA. He also tallied 54 strikeouts in 52 innings.

Selected in the 45th round of the 2008 draft by Seattle, Kittredge, who played his college ball at the University of Washington, has bounced around the minors since 2011.

Seattle traded him to Tampa Bay in November 2016.
