The Medical Examiner’s office identified the man killed in Thursday’s industrial accident as Beau Brown, 28.

According to a news release, Brown died from a “crush injury of the head.” The ME’s office ruled his death an accident.

A Spokane Produce employee confirmed that Brown worked at Spokane Produce.

On Thursday, an industrial accident outside the company building drew a heavy police presence. At the time, investigators were focusing on two semi trucks parked near the entrance of what appeared to be a Spokane Produce delivery truck parking lot.

Donaye Smith lived next to Brown in Cheney for about three years. Brown loved to hunt and ride motorcycles, Smith said. The two would go deer and turkey hunting together. Smith last saw Brown on Thursday morning when the two walked their dogs together. Brown had two dogs, a Labrador and a mixed breed.

Brown lived alone. Smith is trying to figure out how to best take care of the two dogs.
