Area gymnastics: Reigan Kampmann helps Mt. Spokane edge University
Reigan Kampmann narrowly edged Mead’s Zella Conley in the all-around (37-36.3) to lead Mt. Spokane to victory in a tightly-contested Greater Spokane League meet at the Mead/Mt. Spokane Gymnastics center on Wednesday night.
The Wildcats earned 168.925 points to 167.25 for University. Mead finished third with 165.1 points.
Kampmann won the bars and floor competitions, and finished second in beam and vault behind Conley. Conley just barely missed out on three first-place finishes, edged out on the floor victory by one-half point.
Anna Johnson (University), Marisol Delcid (Mt. Spokane), and Demri Oglesbee (U-Hi) rounded out the top 5 in the all-around. Johnson took second in bars and third in floor, while Oglesbee earned a third-place finish in vault and Delcid took third in beam.
