Grueling schedule leaves Gonzaga hoping for return of injured players
Gonzaga has two regular-season games remaining, which will conclude a grueling nine-week stretch of 18 conference games.
During Saturday’s 82-61 win over Pacific, the Zags were without Killian Tillie (broken finger) and Bryan Alberts (ankle) for the second straight game. A few other players are dealing with various bumps and bruises.
“I’m sure everybody is like this when you go nine straight weeks with two games,” GU coach Mark Few said. “We probably need to look at that as a league.
“We’ve backed off practices and taken days off. We’ve got some guys that are beat up, which everybody does this time of year.
“We have two (games) next week and then we should get a couple of days to rest them and hopefully start getting some guys back.”
