Buay Tuach powers Loyola Marymount offense from the perimeter
Loyola Marymount and Gonzaga meet for the second time and the Lions had one bright spot in last month’s 93-55 loss at the McCarthey Athletic Center. Senior Buay Tuach scored 19 points, the lone Lion to reach double figures.
Tuach, who has tripled his scoring average from last season, made three 3-pointers and 7 of 10 field-goal attempts. The 6-foot-6 wing has a nice combination of size and athleticism. He’s made 52 percent of his shots, 42 percent beyond the 3-point arc. He leads LMU in scoring (12.5) in WCC play.
Tuach will challenge GU’s perimeter defense. Jordan Mathews could see the starting assignment on Tuach and Silas Melson will probably see extended minutes on Tuach.
