Boys basketball: Ryan Christy leads Ferris at Avista tourney
Ryan Christy came off the bench to score 18 points on six 3-pointers and Ferris (8-1) beat Wenatchee (3-5) 71-45 in the Avista Holiday Tournament at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston on Thursday.
Reece VanLierop added 10 points for the Saxons.
North Central 48, Clarkston 47: Leon Sayers scored 23 points and the Indians (6-3) beat the Bantams (3-3). Tru Allen led Clarkston with 20 points and Branton Chatfield pitched in 13.
T-Town Throwdown
Puyallup 69, University 59: Jacob Holcomb scored 22 points and the Vikings (5-4) defeated the Titans (4-5) at Monroe High in Tacoma. Luke Holcomb pitched in 14 points for Puyallup. Tanner Christensen led U-Hi with 20 points.
Hanford Holiday Tournament
Mt. Spokane 71, Pasco 43: Jerry Twenge scored 12 points and the Wildcats (8-2) defeated the Bulldogs (1-10) at Hanford High. Cole Hattenburg added 10 points for the Wildcats.
Hanford 68, Shadle Park 59: The host Falcons (7-3) topped the Highlanders (4-5).
SunDome Shootout
Davis 75, Rogers 43: The Pirates (6-2) swamped the Pirates (4-6) in Yakima. Cole Riblet led Rogers with 11 points.
Lake City Invite
Mead 68, Timberline (Boise) 30: Tyson Rogalette scored 22 points with nine rebounds and the Panthers (6-3) defeated the Wolves at Lake City High. Orom Opiew added 15 points with seven rebounds for the Panthers, who finish tournament play at 2 p.m. Friday against Post Falls.
Lake City 55, South Kitsap (WA) 48: Hunter Schaffer scored 19 points and the tourney host Timberwolves (4-4) defeated the Wolves (3-6). James Carlson added 17 points for Lake City.
Post Falls 79, Peninsula (WA) 56: Jake Pfennigs scored 28 points and the Trojans (5-4) defeated the Seahawks (5-4). Tyler McCliment-Call added 23 points for the Trojans. Post Falls shot 14 of 23 from the 3-point line.
Columbia River (WA) 61, Coeur d’Alene 49: Jacob Hjort scored 16 points and the Chieftains (8-3) beat the Vikings (4-4). Kale Edwards led the Vikings with 15 points.
Eagle Holiday Classic
West Valley 56, Newport 50: Cletis Hydrick scored 25 points and the co-host Eagles (6-3) defeated the Grizzlies (5-2). Collin Sather added 20 points for West Valley. Koa Pancho scored 15 points for the Grizzlies.
Liberty 63, Lakeside 50: Justin Jeske scored 22 points and the Lancers (5-1) beat the co-host Eagles (3-5). Tristan Cox scored 19 to lead Lakeside.
Colfax 62, Colton 41: Carson Cloaniger scored 23 points and the Bulldogs (7-2) defeated the Wildcats (1-9). Parker Druffel scored 20 points for the Wildcats.
East Valley 43, Lake Roosevelt 32: Christian Johnston scored 16 and the Knights (2-8) defeated the Raiders (1-5). Hunter Whitelaw led the Raiders with eight points.
Pomeroy 68, Tonasket 52: Devon Caruso and Jacob Tewalt each scored 17 points and the Pirates (9-0) defeated the Tigers (5-4). Jack Montowski scored 16 for the Tigers.
Sandpoint 47, Deer Park 40: Robbie Johnson scored 15 points and the Bulldogs (4-2) beat the Stags (4-3). TJ Davis and Alex Stockton each added 10 points for Sandpoint while Isaac Berglund led Deer Park with 17 points.
Davenport 61, Okanogan 59: Peyton Buchanan had 23 points and the Gorillas (4-5) beat the Bulldogs (6-3). Jay Burt added 15 for the Gorillas.
Larson Memorial Classic
Freeman 73, Northwest Christian 50: Dylan Oja scored 21 points and the Scotties (9-0) defeated the visiting Crusaders (3-5). Dane Simpson had 16 for the Crusaders.
Reardan Holiday Tournament
Reardan 78, St. John-Endicott/LaCrosse 36: Andrew Alsept scored 24 points and the Indians (2-5) defeated the Eagles (1-7). Zane Perleberg added eight points and 10 assists and teamate Cade Francis scored 14 with 10 rebounds. Ty Harder scored nine for the Eagles.
Wellpinit 78, Chewelah 53: Tyrone Dorris scored 27 points with 10 rebounds and the Redskins (5-3) beat the Cougars (2-3). Butch Flett scored 15 points with 17 rebounds, 11 assists and nine blocks. Elan Krausz led the Cougars with 15 points.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 66, Wilbur-Creston 48: Maguire Isaak scored 28 points and the visiting Warriors (4-3) defeated the Wildcats (1-8). Layne Smith scored 22 for the Wildcats.
