“Bell of the Last Night” - Everyone who attends Joya-E New Year’s Service will participate in the ringing of the “calling bell” 108 times during the service, which symbolically rings out the 108 delusions of woman and man and rings in aspiration to overcome ignorance, greed and anger in the coming year. Coeur d’Alene Polar Bear Plunge/A Reason For Freezen - Every year on New Year’s Day the good people of Coeur d’ Alene meet to do the Polar Bear Plunge on Sanders Beach. Please bring donations that A Reason for Freezen will collect and donate on your behalf to St. Vincent dePaul of North Idaho. Let’s Warm Up Cd’A!Everything from socks, blankets, towels, toiletries, shoes. You name it we will be collecting it. We will also be accepting cash or check donations.
