Semi truck crash east of Coeur d’Alene leads to large traffic backup
All lanes of Interstate 90 were blocked for about an hour east of Coeur d’Alene after a semi truck crashed.
The Idaho State Police reported the crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. Tuesday near milepost 18. Troopers said the driver was going too fast for conditions.
All lanes of the freeway were blocked while crews worked to remove the wreckage. The median separating eastbound and westbound traffic was heavily damaged.
The freeway was reopened in both directions at about 7:45 a.m., though it was reduced to one lane. Traffic was moving steadily, troopers said.
No injuries were reported.
