Boys basketball roundup: Watson scores 20 points as G-Prep downs Kelso
Anton Watson scored 20 points and Gonzaga Prep (4-0, 1-0) defeated visiting Kelso 69-41 in a nonleague game on Friday.
The Bullpups led 20-13 after the first quarter and put the clamps on the Hilanders, allowing five points in the second quarter while going for 21 to lead 41-18 at the break.
Jamaari Jones added 14 points for Gonzaga prep, which went 13 of 18 at the line.
North Central 58, Coeur d’Alene 43: Isaiah Lockett and Chris Regalado each scored 11 points and the Indians (2-2, 0-1) defeated the visiting Vikings (1-1).
Shadle Park 53, Kellogg 51: Jake Groves scored a game-high 26 points and the Highlanders (4-0, 1-0) defeated visiting Wildcats (2-1).

West Valley 57, Cheney 55: Connor Whitney scored 20 points and the visiting Eagles (4-1, 1-0) edged the Blackhawks (1-3, 0-1). Collin Sather added 16 points for the Eagles, who scored 40 of their 57 points in the second half. Jake Berman and Devin Cook each scored 11 for Cheney.

Medical Lake 46, Riverside 41: Derek Steege scored 11 points and the Cardinals (3-1, 2-0) beat the Rams (1-4, 0-1). Kory Cross led Riverside with 13 points.
Freeman 55, Newport 43: Dylan Oja scored 16 points and the Scotties (4-0) defeated the visiting Grizzlies (1-1).
Chewelah 67, Lakeside (WA) 58: Dawson Youngblood scored 22 points and the Cougars (3-0, 1-0) defeated the visiting Eagles (2-2, 0-0).
Deer Park 66, Colville 56: Isaac Berglund notched 22 points and the visiting Stags (2-1, 1-0) beat the Indians (3-2, 0-1) in a Northeast 1A league game on Friday. Devin Lembcke led the Indians with 19 points. Chase Wisinger added 14 for the Stags.

Colfax 48, Reardan 43: Carson Cloaninger scored 18 points and the Bulldogs (1-2, 1-0) beat the visiting Indians (0-2, 0-1). Cade Francis had a game-high 20 points for the Indians.
St. George’s 75, Springdale 41: Ben Adams scored 16 points and the visiting Dragons (2-0, 1-0) cruised past the Chargers (2-1, 1-1). Mitchell Ward also scored 16 for St. George’s. Austin Howder led Springdale with 11.
Davenport 57, Kettle Falls 39: Payton Buchanan scored 15 points and the Gorillas (1-1, 1-0) defeated the visiting Bulldogs (0-2, 0-1). Jay Burt had 14 points for Kettle Falls.
Northwest Christian 68, Wilbur-Creston 54: Josh Maynard scored 22 points and the visiting Crusaders (1-1, 1-0) beat the Wildcats (0-2, 0-1). Layne Smith had 20 points for the Wildcats.
