Don’t remain silent

Adolf Hitler was a radical minority who rose to power by pandering to individual groups (such as farmers, politicians, military service, etc). His primary reason for war was “standing up to the violent leftists,”; we see many conservatives spout this same rhetoric. President Trump has bragged about his “superior genetics” and “German blood” in the media, and has continued to refuse to denounce white supremacists and those within his own administration.

The events that took place in Charlottesville, Virginia, are mirroring the horrors that lead to World War II. We fought the Nazis before, the whole world was involved.

White supremacy is not patriotism or nationalism; it is fascism, racism sexism and will lead to another World War. White supremacists armed themselves with body armor, assault rifles, bats and batons, going so far as to attack clergy.

Are you an American patriot? Then rise; fight for this country before it’s too late. Your country is behind you, waiting, resisting, and actively fighting against hatred.

Martin Luther King, Jr. stated that silence is betrayal, and we cannot watch this atrocity happen again.

History remembers. We will remember.

Silence is no longer an option. Use your First Amendment!
