Community garden in Valley offers plots for $15 each

From staff reports

Gardeners looking for a place to grow vegetables this summer can buy a plot from the Fresh Start Community Garden in Spokane Valley.

The nonprofit, which uses land provided by Modern Electric, has plots available for $15, said Carol Janiga, who serves on the garden’s board. Some of the available plots were built for people with disabilities.

The garden is located on the south side of Mission Avenue between Bowdish and Pierce roads near Splash Down Family Waterpark.

Anyone interested in buying a plot for the summer can call Janiga at (509) 251-3591.
